Frozen coil and weak airflow
Ice can form when airflow is inadequate or refrigerant-side faults exist; both require diagnosis before a cleaning promise.
What to observe
Record filter condition, blocked returns, fan operation and when icing appears.
A field example
Ice after a new dense filter could implicate airflow, but refrigeration faults can also freeze a coil. Document fan operation and filter change, then let the qualified worker separate those causes.
What the written work should say
A qualified HVAC worker can inspect airflow and the refrigeration system, then explain the supported cause in writing.
Where this task stops
Scraping ice or cleaning a grille alone cannot diagnose refrigerant charge or leaks.
